About The Farm

The Reban Family

“My great grandfather was an immigrant from Russia and established this homestead in 1908. Four generations later, the farm lives on. We feel very fortunate and humbled to be able to raise our own family on a farm with such deep historical roots. We do not take this responsibility lightly and are excited with the opportunity to continue to enhance the use of sustainable practices that will ensure our children and grandchildren have the opportunity to produce some of the best food the world can consume.” – Aubrey Reban

Testimonial

“It is always a crap shoot to buy meat from the supermarkets. The quality seems to vary so dramatically. Sometimes you get lucky, and usually, that means picking the freshest cuts and paying the premium price.
I was recommended to try this beef last year, and we doubled our order this year from a 1/4 cut to 1/2 to share with family. From beginning to end the beef was not only perfectly tender and aged, it has a fantastic taste!”

Frequently Asked Questions

See the answers to the questions we get asked most often!

What do you feed your cows?

Our cattle graze in pasture in the summer.  In winter, they get free choice forage (hay) and grain. We finish our animals on approximately half the amount of grain that a traditional feedlot would. This results in meat that contains much less fat. We’ve spent years perfecting our feed rations to bring you the perfect balance of leanness and marbling.

What type of meat do I get with a purchase?

Our standard for how the meat is prepared is a make up of:

🐮1/3 roasts

🐮1/3 hamburger

🐮1/3 steaks

However, you can customize your order if you'd like at no additional cost.

Does buying a cow from you, save me money?

When you buy direct from our family farm, you are automatically cutting the margins that the wholesalers and retailers are taking. Across Canada, consumers are paying an average of $19.00/lb. in the store, when averaging several common cuts of beef. Our 1/4, 1/2 and full cow packages are $5.75/lb
